Do you want to spend an unforgettable summer?

Apply for (perhaps) the coolest summer job ever! We are now recruiting Aalto University and University of Helsinki students to form a new iGEM team to represent Finland in an international competition.

Do you want to make a difference? Carry out your own ideas and experiments in a student-driven research group, design and build a biological system of your own and compete with it in Boston. Learn immense amounts of new things and spend an unforgettable summer with synthetic biology. Read more and apply!

Synthetic Biology is a field which views biology as something that can be engineered. It aims at engineering systems which consist of standardized genetic parts, in order to develop a functional organism.

iGEM?

  • international Genetically Engineered Machine
  • An international synthetic biology competition
  • A competition for university students pursuing either Bachelor's or Master's degree
  • Research in a student-driven group for a couple of months
  • Presenting your research and findings at the Giant Jamboree in Boston

Find out more about iGEM on http://igem.org/Main_Page.

You can take a look at the previous teams' websites:
Aalto-Helsinki 2014, Aalto-Helsinki 2015, Aalto-Helsinki 2016, Aalto-Helsinki 2017 and Aalto-Helsinki 2018 and our Facebook page to know more!
